Itchy, watery eyes. Sneezing, constant sneezing. A sinus headache. And a runny nose to top it all off.
I guess allergy season is here. Something on the wind makes it clear. And runny.
I wonder, will I experience this sort of thing in sub-Saharan Africa? What will the plants be like? Will they be things I am allergic to? Will the dust fill up my sinuses and inflict?
Whether it is easy or hard, I'm going! And I can't wait to leave.

- My grandparents met and were married here on the prairies where my great grandfather became the first rancher to own electricity and telephone in our county. He kept cattle and she kept the house (dirt floor) and the children (7). Three generations later I am creating artwork inspired by this heritage and using the skills my grandmother taught me when I learned to knit at age seven. This blog is my space to reflect on the processes of creativity and explore how our roots intersect with a modern life.
